If you are registered for classes, you are responsible for all costs associated with your courses. Please be aware, if you enroll in courses and decide not to participate, you must notify our office by the appropriate deadlines so that you are no longer responsible for the costs.

Tuition for students enrolled part-time or taking classes during Summer or January Term can be calculated by taking the number of credits/units you want to enroll in and multiplying it by the price per unit.

For full-time students (students taking 12 to 18 credits) tuition will be offered at a flat rate during the Fall and Spring semesters.

International students attending under a F-1 or J-1 visa must be enrolled full-time (12-18 credits in Fall and Spring, 3 credits in January, and 6-12 credits in Summer). For more information about requirements for international students, refer to the International Students page.

Do you offer financial aid?

Financial aid is not offered to visiting students. However, the following options are open to visiting students:

  • Consortium Agreement: If you are currently enrolled at another college or university, contact your home school's financial aid office to inquire about receiving aid from your school via a consortium agreement with NYU. You may email a completed consortium agreement to the NYU Office of Financial Aid at financial.aid@nyu.edu with the subject line "Consortium Agreement." Please include your NYU ID number in your email and on all pages of the consortium agreement. Please allow up to 3 weeks processing time. NYU will send the consortium agreement back to your home school so that your financial aid may be processed.
  • Private Loans: If you are not currently enrolled at another college or if your school will not authorize a consortium agreement, you may be eligible for private loans. We encourage visiting students to borrow no more than necessary for educational expenses. NYU does not endorse, recommend or prefer any particular private loan over another. Note that loan terms and eligibility requirements can vary. Click here for information about lenders that NYU students have used in the past. Students may apply for a private loan via the lender's website. Credit approval is usually necessary and some loans are not available to non-degree students. The loan period/period of enrollment for a private loan should be the dates of the term you are attending NYU. We will certify a private loan with your lender based on your course enrollment. Allow up to 3 weeks for processing.

NOTE: Any financial aid that you receive through a consortium agreement or a private loan may not exceed your term cost of attendance.
