Public Transportation

Below is advice for getting to our main two areas within New York City plus useful resources.

Parking

New York City is actively reducing car traffic, particularly in heavily congested areas of Manhattan and Brooklyn, in order to support a healthier city.  We recommend using public transportation unless the conveience of driving is an important consideration.

Parking in New York City can be a challenge. Most of the prime spots on the street get filled-up quickly and you need to know about special New York City parking rules like "alternate side of the street parking days."

Fortunately, there are thousands of parking facilities to choose from. While locations are licensed by the City's Department of Consumer Affairs, prices are not regulated. When choosing to park, please note that there is a difference in pricing for hourly, all-day, and overnight parking.  Some locations may offer an NYU discount with an ID, oversized vehicles often cost extra, and not all locations are open 24-hours.
