Judging by the high street, we must be preparing for a summer of activity. I say this because utility gear (read: heavy duty khakis, boilersuits, combat pants) is so prevalent at the moment. Even Vogue UK has determined the boiler suit the "it item of the season".

On the runways, Isabel Marant indulged in a 1980s throwback with oversized, boxy white denim jumpsuits while Stella McCartney and Giambattista Valli both played with options in cream and beige.

Meanwhile at Fendi, combat trousers have never seemed so lust-worthy; with their just-slouchy-enough cut belted with a long satin cord.

Lisa Bonet

Stylish actor Lisa Bonet, above, shows that a bohemian aesthetic can work on the red carpet — particularly, if your dress is by Dior! The 51-year-old wore a beaded and fringed number from the Resort 2018 collection to the Game of Thrones Season 8 premiere in New York. A hand chain, upper arm bangle and hoops (another red carpet rarity) made the look undeniably her own.

One for the boys

Kennedy & Co Revitalising Eye Gel

If I was to list all the reasons that men should be using an eye cream (reducing dark circles, preventing puffiness, slowing down signs of ageing) I'm sure it would be incentive enough. Despite the obvious benefits, however, not many men seem to have incorporated these products into their daily routines. That's why I was inspired to create an eye gel with a cooling metallic nib applicator for my own range of grooming products. Keep it in the fridge for a refreshing wake-up call and an energising jolt for tired under-eyes. It contains caffeine and hyaluronic acid to reduce puffiness, hydrate and plump up skin.

Top Tip

Belted denim jumpsuit, €89, & Other Stories

Investing in a white or neutral-hued boilersuit is a great way to make this trend work for your style, as it's quite literally a blank canvas to play with. For summer holidays, pair yours with raffia, straw and shell accessories, or play up the tomboy element with leather biker boots and a crossbody bag.
