Irish Showjumping team eye Olympic glory after sensational win on Germany
Fresh from a sensational win in the world famous Nations Cup of Aachen in Germany last week, the Irish Showjumping team are in confident mood they can finally secure a first Olympic team medal in Paris later this month.
Two of the three riders selected for Paris, Cian O’Connor – who won an individual bronze medal at the London Games and is competing in his fourth Olympics – and Florida-based Cork native Shane Sweetman as well as Wexford’s Bertram Allen – who is the reserve rider for Paris – were in action in Aachen.
