Tenerife is the largest of the Canary Islands, and a go-to sun holiday destination for many years.

The south of the island is very popular with tourists and lively — it’s a great location if you want to hike and party, especially Playa de las Americas. Costa Adeje, in particular, offers lots for families and those looking to combine a hiking and beach holiday. Also, in the south, I think El Medano would be a great base for a hike and surf/windsurf holiday.
