Review: If there ever was a car to convert an old-school petrolhead to go electric then it’s the BMW i5 M60

"The i5 M60 is eye-wateringly expensive, but it’s a truly brilliant car to drive."

Electric car sales are on the rise. Last month there were a record 4,109 sold, but the pace of growth is slowing down and the market share for new EVs has stagnated. Only weeks after car rental company Hertz announced it was selling off 20,000 Tesla cars, the firm is now pausing plans to buy 65,000 electric cars from Polestar.

It seems electric cars are becoming more difficult to sell as the early adopters have adopted and the mainstream motorist is proving more sceptical and less tolerant of the public-charging infrastructure.
