It is a fact that gardens and gardening can make us feel happier – not to mention boost our well-being. So is it any wonder that the same is true of toddlers and young children?

“Gardening doesn’t just improve a child’s gross and fine motor skills, sensory perception, focus, attention and patience; it also quietly focuses on acceptance and wholeness – with no mud, there are no flowers,” says Olivia Relova, head of the Dublin Steiner School.
