While the familiar refrain of ‘put your phone away’ is said in classrooms across the country every day, some teachers have found a way to use their own phones to connect with students and other teachers beyond the classroom, and to demystify their work.

A growing cohort of Irish teachers are creating content for social media platform TikTok, which is particularly popular with young audiences and consists of engaging short-form videos.
