We all know about the PS5's immersive DualSense controller and the super speedy SSD, but one feature that tends to get glossed over is the Tempest audio engine, which makes it feel as though sounds are actually moving around you, albeit only in supported games. Indeed, if you really want to get the most out of your PlayStation 5 console, then Sony's very own PULSE 3D Wireless headset is the accessory to choose in order to truly experience the console's spatial audio technology. While other headsets may have better bass and clearer microphones, the PULSE 3D is the one that seems to best utilise this particular tech, providing greater sense of immersion when paired with the advanced haptics and reactive triggers of the gamepad. The good news is that Sony's first-party headset is now reduced to its lowest price ever at Argos, costing just £79.99 for a limited time only.

If you really want to get the most out of your PlayStation 5, then a PULSE 3D Wireless headset provides the sound quality and spatial audio you need.

If you do visit the Argos website via the link above, then you'll see that the discounted PULSE 3D headset is proving incredibly popular with customers, so you might need to hurry to secure yours.

Indeed, the website shows that the PULSE 3D headset is in-demand and selling fast, with lots of people adding it to their shoppings carts.

In addition to the obvious audio benefits, the PULSE 3D is a nice looking headset, featuring the same colour scheme as the PS5.

It features dual noise-cancelling microphones, a built-in rechargeable battery, and an array of easy-access controls.

It comes boxed with a Bluetooth dongle that plugs into the PS5 console itself. Once paired, you don't need to worry about getting tangled up, because the headset works completely wirelessly.

Sony claims it provides up to 12 hours of battery life, although the reality is that you'll probably get closer to ten.

Still, as long as you remember to charge it up after finishing up a gaming session, you shouldn't ever have to worry about it running out of juice mid-game.

Games that do a good job of showcasing the console's 3D audio include Returnal, Horizon Forbidden West and Demon's Souls.

I'm fully expecting upcoming platform game Astro Bot to make good use of the audio feature, especially if its predecessor is anything to go by.

The game sees the titular hero embark on an adventure to rescue his crewmates after their ship is attacked.

Not only will the game span more than 50 planets, but Astro will also encounter a number of PlayStation icons throughout the adventure.

That's on top of Astro's new abilities, which are said to include springy punches, rockets even a giant sponge.

PS5 exclusive Astro Bot has a September 6 release date. Pre-orders are available now.
