Caitlin Clark breaks her silence on being Angel Reese's teammate after rookie rivals were both named on WNBA's All-Star team

Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark revealed her feelings on teaming up with Angel Reese for the WNBA All-Star game coming up this summer.

Clark and Reese will be on 'Team WNBA' as they get set to play the USA Olympic team on July 20.

'I know people are going to be really excited about it, but I hope it doesn't take away from everybody else,' Clark told reporters of her and Reese's All-Star nods.

'This is a huge accomplishment for everybody on Team USA and everybody on Team WNBA. They all deserve the same praise.

'I don't want it to take away from any of that and just be the focal point of All-Star weekend because that's not fair to them.'

While Clark has been named to the All-Star team, it's not clear exactly how many of the All-Star Weekend festivities she'll take part in.

'Remains to be seen, we'll see,' Clark said when asked if she would consider participating in the 3-point competition. 'I haven't decided. … Can't give you guys every answer today.'

In addition to the All-Star Game and the 3-point competition, there will be a skills competition as well.

Clark was the highest vote-getter as chosen by the fans with over 700,000 votes being cast in her name. Her Indiana teammate Aliyah Boston came second with over 618,000 votes.

Rounding out the top five were A'ja Wilson and Breanna Stewart - who will play on Team USA - as well as Reese.
