Bruce Springsteen's daughter Jessica suffers Olympics heartbreak as she is left OUT of US equestrian team... despite winning silver at Tokyo Games

The Olympic hopeful daughter of legendary musician Bruce Springsteen has been dealt a heartbreaking blow after being left out of Team USA's team for Paris 2024.

Jessica Springsteen, 32, won silver in the rescheduled Tokyo Games in 2021, and has been trying to make the roster for this summer's Olympics in Paris.

Her famous father, according to NJ.com, had even left a two-week break on his tour to come and watch her compete - but she has now been dealt a cruel blow.

The equestrian roster for Team USA was revealed this weekend, with Kent Farrington, Laura Kraut and McLain Ward included, with Karl Cook as an alternate.

That, unfortunately for the Springsteen family, has left no room for Jessica, who will not have a chance to compete at her second Olympic Games.

Back in 2021, Springsteen won silver for Team USA in the jumping final in Tokyo, Japan 

Bruce had reportedly left dates clear on his current tour to watch his daughter in Paris 

Springsteen was previously included on a 10-rider shortlist, but did not make the final, cut-down roster ahead of next month's competition.

The reason for her omission appears to be a dramatic fall down the world rankings, from No. 14 when she competed at the Tokyo Games, to her current placing of 127th.

In Paris, she rode a 12-year-old Belgian warmblood to claim Team USA's fourth equestrian team jumping medal in five Olympics. 

Less than two months ago, Springsteen talked up her Olympics dream and opened up on how much a second Games would mean to her.

'Tokyo 2020 was such an incredible experience, but because of that year and all the COVID-19 pandemic restrictions, you know, you couldn't have your family and your friends there,' she told Harper's Bazaar in May.

'So I was like, "oh my gosh, I would love to go to another Olympics and be able to share that with my family, who've been so supportive of my career for so many years."'

The 32-year-old rider grew up on her family's 368-acre Stone Hill Farm in Colts Neck and began riding when she was just four years old, per NJ.com. 

'There really is no other sport like it, and I think the connection you develop with the horses is something really special,' she said ahead of the Tokyo Games. 

'That’s what has drawn me to it since I was little, and that is what I still love the most about it: how in sync you can be with your horse. Once you’ve created that partnership, the horses can read what you are thinking before you even ask them to do it.'
