Spectrum Plan

The Spectrum Plan is based on the Spectrum Ordinance (previously the Frequency Band Allocation Ordinance). It contains details of how spectrum from 9 kHz to 3 000 GHz can be used.

The latest Spectrum Plan for the Federal Republic of Germany (updated in March 2022) came into force with its announcement in Administrative Order No 26/2022 in the Bundesnetzagentur's Official Gazette 06/2022 of 23 March 2022.

The Spectrum Plan was updated in accordance with section 90 of the German Telecommunications Act (TKG) with the involvement of the federal and state authorities concerned, the parties concerned and the public and in consultation with the competent supreme state and federal authorities and the Ministry of Defence.
