Donald Trump has reacted to a viral video of President Joe Biden freezing in a half-bent position during a ceremony on Thursday marking the 80th anniversary of D-Day in Normandy, France.

In the video, Biden is seen on stage with French president Emanuel Macron, who remains standing as Biden awkwardly bends down, as if to sit.

Biden then holds the squat position, before bobbing up and down slightly, apparently unable to decide if he will sit or stand.

As a voice on the loud speaker announces that US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin is about to speak, First Lady Jill Biden raises her hand to cover her mouth, seemingly trying to whisper something to her husband. Macron's wife Brigitte looks over to Biden, appearing concerned.

As the ceremony concludes, Jill guides Joe off of stage. He appears to walk stiffly, gripping her hand tightly.

The clip has prompted wild speculation online, with some raising concerns about Biden's advancing age.

The President – who turns 82 in November – has been known to make publicly embarrassing gaffes at big events, including trips and falls.

Asked about his take on the video in a TikTok interview on Thursday, former President Trump said: 'He goes over to France and something happened and it's not good, I don't know what it is.'

In the interview – posted by right-wing activist and founder of Turning Point USA Charlie Kirk – Trump also branded Biden the 'worst president in history' and slammed him as a bad 'representative' of America when it comes to events in foreign countries.

Kirk raised his own concerns about the video in a post on X, writing: 'Yikes! At an Omaha Beach event honoring the 80th Anniversary of the D-Day invasion, Dr. Jill Biden quickly escorts Joe Biden away leaving a seemingly perplexed French President Emmanuel Macron to honor WW2 veterans alone.'

Sen. Tommy Tuberville (R-AL) also criticized Biden's conduct during the ceremony, posting an unflattering photo of the president on X.

'I took this photo of Joe Biden practically ASLEEP during a ceremony honoring our WWII heroes,' he wrote. 'Joe Biden continues to be an EMBARRASSMENT to our country.'

Another video from the ceremony also posted online shows Biden turning around to watch a service member playing taps on the bugle, as D-Day veterans, the Macrons and Jill Biden all continue to look forward in the opposite direction.

The White House has not commented on either video.

But, certainly, as we head towards an election, Biden's fitness and mental acuity are under increased scrutiny.

On Tuesday, the Wall Street Journal published a damning story detailing claims of the president struggling behind closed doors to remember specific meetings and policy details.
