Explosions rang out in the Ukrainian capital on Monday in what was the biggest bombardment of Kyiv for several months. The attack struck Okhmatdyt Children's Hospital in Kyiv, Ukraine's biggest children's medical facility, which has been likened to London's Great Ormond Street Hospital. Several other cities were also hit in Vladimir Putin's salvo, with another Russian attack in the central Ukrainian city of Kryvyi Rih said to have killed at least 10 people. Reports said at least 20 people were killed and 50 injured across the country. Pictures distributed by officials from the children's medical facility showed people digging through mounds of debris, black smoke billowing over a gutted building and medical staff wearing blood-stained scrubs. Children - some still hooked up to medical machines - were pictured outside the building in hospital beds, or being held by their mothers or hospital staff. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said Russia had targeted five cities with more than 40 missiles, and said people were trapped under the rubble of the hospital. The daylight attacks included Kinzhal hypersonic missiles, one of the most advanced Russian weapons, the Ukrainian air force said. The Kinzhal flies at 10 times the speed of sound, making it hard to intercept. City buildings shook from the blasts. 'There are people under the rubble, and the exact number of casualties is still unknown,' the president wrote on social media. 'Right now, everyone is helping to clear the rubble - doctors and ordinary people.'

Trampled by the bulls: Pamplona festival runners are gored and tossed around by rampaging

While thousands avoided the animals' horns, at least six people were injured, with one participant gored and five suffering bruising, local government sources in the Spanish city said. Dramatic pictures show participants stumbling and covering their heads as they are trampled in the dangerous race - which takes place over 850 metres through the city centre's narrow streets. Some of the revellers goaded the animals, leaving commentators saying it had been a miracle no-one had been attacked and badly hurt or even killed. Sixteen people have been killed at the annual festival since records began in 1910, most recently in 2009, while many more are injured as they try to outrun the wild beasts.

Families cower in Barcelona restaurants as they are targeted by baying anti-tourist mob who spray them with water pistols and hold up signs mocking Brits who fall to their deaths from hotel balconies

Holidaymakers cowered as they were sprayed with water guns and sealed inside restaurants by furious anti-tourism protesters in Barcelona over the weekend, as thousands marched through the city centre telling visitors to 'go home'. A disturbing sign was plastered onto one window which read: 'Dear tourist: Balconing is fun!' - clearly mocking Brits and other visitors who have lost their lives falling from balconies while on holiday. In another show of intimidation, cordons were wrapped around restaurants in the popular Las Ramblas district. Some of the tourists watching the unruly scenes appeared bemused, laughing at the chanting demonstrators surrounding them as they tried to enjoy their meals. Angry with the cost of living and lack of affordable housing in the city, locals carried signs reading 'Barcelona is not for sale' and chanted 'Tourists out of our neighbourhood' at people as they stopped in front of the entrances to hotels.
