Hippodrome production closes early

GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCJB) - Nobody is going to win “The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee” at the Hippodrome.
Officials at the Hippodrome tell TV20 they are shutting down the production on Sunday, two weeks early.
They say that too many canceled shows have affected ticket sales of the production, which opened in May.
Performances were canceled the last two nights but are running July. 5. through Sunday, July. 7.
Numerous social media posts indicated one of the problems was a flare-up of COVID-19.
