Victim identified in Limestone County single-vehicle wreck

Authorities say a woman was killed following a single-vehicle wreck in Limestone County Saturday afternoon.

According to the Limestone County coroner, the wreck happened about 1 p.m. on Sewell Road just west of Alabama 127. 

State Troopers identified the victim as 59-year-old Deborah A. McMurtrey. They say the 2014 Toyota Sequoia she was driving left the roadway, struck a utility pole and then hit a tree. McMurtrey was pronounced dead at the scene. 

Alabama State Troopers are continuing to investigate the wreck.
