UPDATE: One injured after garbage truck crashes into house in Madison

A garbage truck has crashed into a house in Madison.

According to Don Webster with Huntsville Emergency Medical Services, one person was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Madison Fire Chief David Bailey confirmed it was the truck driver who was injured.

Bailey says the garbage truck hit three parked vehicles that were unoccupied before going into the home.

No one was in the home at the time of the incident, Bailey says. Three animals were inside and were taken to animal control.

Webster says it happened at a home near Sullivan Street and Grayson Avenue.

Police are investigating the incident.
