A Somerville man was arrested for drug trafficking in addition to having several active warrants for his arrest.
According to the Priceville Police Department, 43-year-old Billy Gene Shaddrix was charged with trafficking fentanyl.
About 4 a.m. Saturday, an officer conducted a vehicle stop near Highway 67 and Marco Drive for a minor traffic violation.
During the citation process, police say it was determined Shaddrix had several active warrants for his arrest through neighboring agencies.
Once the officer took Shaddrix into custody, police say a quantity of fentanyl was discovered in his possession.
The officer then placed Shaddrix under arrest for the trafficking fentanyl charge.
Shaddrix was booked into the Morgan County Jail with bond set at $200,000. Holds were also placed on Shaddrix for his active warrants.
