Rescue crews are no longer searching for a missing Morgan County man. Divers found the body of 35-year-old Justin Letson in the Tennessee River Friday afternoon near Point Mallard Park.

The Morgan County Rescue Squad, the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency Marine and Aviation, and the Lawrence County Rescue Squad searched for almost 24 hours.

Decatur Police say his body was found about 2:30 p.m.

Authorities say Letson went missing Thursday about 10 p.m. Police say he was last seen on or around a large group of boats parked off the shore of Point Mallard Park.

Rescue crews searched until 2 a.m. They picked their search back up early Friday morning.

WAAY 31 spoke with Justin Letson's mom, Ginger Letson, through text. She says her son worked at Hard Dock Restaurant for years. He was well known in the boating community and across the area.

Police do not think foul play is involved, but they are asking anyone with information to call them immediately. You can reach the Decatur Police Department at 256-341-4660.
