Price increase approved for Florence Utilities customers

Starting on July 1, Florence Utilities customers will pay $3 more a month for electricity.

This comes after the increase was approved during a Florence City Council meeting Tuesday.

The utility company says this increase is necessary to comply with TVA’s new rate agreement.

With the new increase, the base price for a home will be about $22.
