Jets cornerback Tae Hayes, 26, was arrested on drug charges early Sunday morning. The Trinity Police Department took Hayes into custody and booked him into the Morgan County Jail for possession of marijuana.
Hayes was released on a $300 bond.
A Jets spokesman said the team is aware of the situation but is refraining from further comment due to it being a pending legal matter.
Hayes played one game for the Jets last season.
