The Star Spangled Celebration kicks of in Madison Wednesday night.
It's not every day that the community comes together to celebrate something, but on Wednesday, Madison residents did just that.
The Star Spangled Celebration is an event Madison has been putting on for years. People can enjoy kid-friendly entertainment, live music, and an assortment of foods at Dublin Park.
Madison residents say they look forward to this event each year. One resident said it transports her to her childhood.
"My favorite thing is the fact that everyone gets around and everybody turns into a child watching the fireworks. It just brings back memories, so that's always a big pointer for me," Michelle Fight said.
For other residents, it's about appreciating the community they live in.
“They do a lot of great activities and events like this, so we are happy to be here, and that's one of the reasons why we live in Madison," said Brad Wing.
