Huntsville City FC interim head coach Christophe Berra to depart team after next game

Huntsville City FC will once again be searching for a head coach.

The club announced Friday that interim head coach Christophe Berra will be leaving the team after next week’s match against New England Revolution II.

According to the club, Berra was not fired and is leaving for “family reasons.”

Berra took over as head man after the departure of Jack Collison in April.

The team earned a 1-1 tie in their first game under Berra against Crown Legacy FC, but would go winless in his first six games.

HCFC earned back-to-back wins against Carolina Core FC and Crown Legacy FC to start June, their only wins of the season to date.

Through 15 games this season, the Huntsville squad sits in last place, with two wins, nine losses and four ties.
