Firefighters rescue dog in Madison County house fire

Firefighters and emergency crews saved a dog from a house fire in Madison County Friday night. It happened just after 9 p.m. on Cave Springs Circle.

According to Big Cove Volunteer Fire Department, the homeowner told firefighters their dog was trapped inside the home.

Officials say one crew worked to put out the fire while a second crew searched for the dog. Authorities say the dog was found and revived at the scene with help from HEMSI and K-9 Specialist Officer Jeff Graves.

Multiple agencies responded including fire departments from Owens Cross Roads, Big Cove, New Hope. HEMSI, Owens Cross Roads Police, and New Hope Police also responded to the scene.
