Madison’s Braden Booth has had a year for the ages.
During his senior season at Bob Jones, the two-way star put together a record-shattering campaign that culminated in the Patriots' first state baseball title.
Booth racked up a laundry list of accolades and honors for his performance, including Gatorade Alabama Baseball Player of the Year.
As part of the award, Booth received a $1,000 grant that he could donate to any “social impact partner” of his liking. The Mississippi State commit picked the Miracle League of Madison, a group that is aiming to bring an all-turf, all-inclusive baseball field and complex to Madison’s Palmer Park.

“It means everything to me to be put in this position to be able to give back to the community,” Booth said. “I believe anybody, no matter the life circumstances, should be able to play the game.”
And Palmer Park is a special place for Booth, who began his baseball journey there. He said its a place he thinks about often, especially since he had to drive by it every day on his way to school.
“It’s just an amazing feeling to be able to give back to this place,” Booth said.
