Authorities say a Boaz woman was killed following a police chase in Marshall County. It happened about 1 p.m. Friday on Welcome Home Road, approximately 10 miles west of Albertville.
State Troopers say Macey E. Justice, 24, of Boaz, was critically injured when the 1995 Ford Ranger she was driving left the roadway, struck a culvert, and then a tree. State Troopers say Justice was being pursued by an Albertville Police Officer. They also say she wasn't wearing a seat belt at the time of the wreck.
Justice was taken to Huntsville Hospital where she later died from her injuries.
State Troopers say they're continuing to investigate the wreck.
