Arab Fire Department: 2-year-old airlifted to hospital after 'possible drowning'

A 2-year-old girl was airlifted to the hospital Monday night after officials say they responded to a possible drowning in the area of Almond Drive off Old Guntersville Road. 

According to the Arab Fire Department, they received the 911 call about 7 p.m.

The fire department says they arrived on the scene with several other agencies, including Arab Police, Marshall Health Systems Ambulance, and Four-C Volunteer Fire Department.

Soon after their arrival, the Arab Fire says the patient was transported via ambulance to Marshall Medical Center North and then transferred to Children’s of Birmingham via air transport.
