Authorities say an Albertville man was charged with murder in connection with a shooting in Etowah County on Thursday.
The Etowah County Sheriff's Office says the shooting happened around 1 a.m. July 4 on the 2000 block of Self Street in Altoona. Deputies say when they responded to the call, they found 35-year-old Tyler Golden, of Altoona, dead at the scene.
Jason Paul Souza, 38, of Albertville, was arrested and charged with murder. Souza is being held in the Etowah County Detention Center without bond pending an Aniah's Law hearing.
