Scottsboro Police catch suspect in sexual extortion of a juvenile case

A North Alabama man faces multiple charges after authorities say he sexually extorted a juvenile.

Kenneth Gage Mays, 31, of Scottsboro was arrested June 11 by the Scottsboro Police Department.

After receiving information about a sexual exploitation case involving a juvenile victim living out of state, police said they investigated and arrested Mays.

He was charged with sexual extortion, tampering with physical evidence and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Bond was set at $503,000.

As of Friday afternoon, he remained in custody.
