- Peter G0 contributionsA Day TripIn Barcelona on a day long Cruise Stop over. Decided to take this bus to see the city. We went on the Red and Blue routes which took much longer than expected particularly the blue route as we were stuck in traffic for most of it. The sights we did see were interesting and we decided to come back to Barcelona for a long weekend to explore further.Written October 30, 2018
- Duncan E0 contributionsThree tours in oneThis is a good way to get your bearings and get around. We got rather stuck on a long boring loop through the northern suburbs on the way out to the football stadium (not worth it), but as a way to get to Sagrada Familia from our parking place it was ideal.Written September 16, 2018
- Maria K0 contributionsDay trip to BarcelonaWe decided to visit Barcelona for the day on our holiday to Spain , this looked like the best way to see as much as we could in the time we had . The routes are very good if you get to a place you want to visit you can just get off and look around and then get on again when another bus turns up . There are 3 routes ( red , blue and green) we did them all lots to see without having to walk too far if you want a rest for the day . We only got off to eat and drink as your not aloud to eat or drink on the bus which is hard on a warm day , would recommend this for children as a way for them to see a city without having them moan about walking too much .Written August 18, 2018
- tobias2940 contributionsToo expensive, takes for ever.We paid 130 E for the family and were told that the tickets were good for 24 hours. Next day we were denied access to the bus! The woman on board offered to sell us new tickets! Are you kidding me? 130 euros? It's a bus ride, for crying out loud! The ride itself is about 2-3 hours long, depending on which route you choose. Be sure to sit upstairs or tou won't see much.Written July 30, 2018
- LaurenTucker19940 contributionsBest Sightseeing Tour So FarWe have used CitySightseeing in over 10 countries, most of them being bad, but this one was 5*, it was run by the public buses, buses were frequent and didn't have to wait longer than 5 minutes for one, staff were friendly and helpful. Tour was very informative and covers a wide range of areas.Written March 31, 2018
- Alexandre M0 contributionsThe longest city sightseeing I've ever seenThere are 2 lines, and all the excursion takes 4 hours each. This is the longest city sightseen I've ever got. The price is somehow expensive, but I think it's worthWritten March 9, 2018
- Anne F0 contributionsBest IdeaThis method of transportation to see all of the city sites was amazing. One stop was walking distance to hotel. Drivers were all good and friendly. Never was too busy to get a spot. I recommend this to everyone going to Barcelona.Written October 12, 2017
- Simona A0 contributionsGood way to see more about the city in short timeIt was really a good service, sign at the stops, at some stops there was also a steward and more hosts, the host on the bus was always clear, nice and smiling. I used all the lines, the blue to go to Par Guell, go around the city (it takes quiet a lot but the city is big :D), and switch then with the red line. i wen to Placa D'Espanya, walking till the castle and take the bus again until the beach where I used the green line to go all around the "modern" part of Barcelona. The audioguide was quiet interesting, I love the first song from stop 1... it was also played around the city! All the hosts at the stops were nice, I just remember the name of Laura at the Sagrada Familia but everyone were good ;D The frequence of the bus is write at the stop like the first and last bus from there. There were few times few busses in a row but anyway even if I had to wait, the waiting time was really just 5 minutes, at least until when I used the service (19:00)! The map and the stop were clear and everything very useful! I did everything in one day!Written October 2, 2017
- Kamil C0 contributionsSay goodbye to your money :(Good by for your money if you lost the ticket. There is no way to get your ticket back even if you have proof of purchase, voucher, invoice and everything else. Be careful!Written September 21, 2017
- Bill R0 contributionsGreat way to see the city!I went on this because I couldn't get into la Sagrada Família. Ticket office very helpful. I did the route that went around by Camp Nou. Great way to take in the sights. I would have done the other routes if I had time. The disposable earphones were quite uncomfortable - may be take your own. recommend - I thought this was good value.Written June 10, 2017
- Mjacobs8520 contributionsVoucher is sold as good for 24 hours it is notDo not use viator to book this excursion. We were told and the voucher says good for 24 hours. We were in town for 24 hours, from 3 o'clock Wednesday to 3 o'clock Thursday. We asked and were assured we only needed to buy a one day pass. We were denied entry on second day.Written June 7, 2017
- CML70 contributionsUseful way to see BarcelonaUsed this hop on / off service to get a extended look around the city. You get earphones to plug in and select your required language. Generally a good service but does get busy especially around the central popular tourist stops. If possible pick a stop further away from Plaça de Catalunya and use early / late in the day to miss the long queues. There are three main coloured routes which are all worth doing if you have time.Written May 27, 2017

This was actually a really good way to see around Barcelona and I did both routes. It was a scorching hot day at the height of summer, approx 35 degrees. The back 3 rows were covered by a canvas roof which can expand the length of the bus if needed. We tried to pull it further forward to cover our group of 10 including 4 children (we were sat just in front of those already covered). The staff stopped us and pushed it back. When we asked again we were told the roof closes only on wet or windy days. They’ll argue we could sit downstairs which is not air conditioned! Thats how to treat your paying customs, don’t give in to their requests and let them get burnt. Thank guys.

Don’t do with kids. It takes too long, long waits, busy traffic, you don’t see that much. My 10 yo got bored in half an hour. Kids next to us fell asleep. Fine for adults who have plenty of time. And don’t hop off as you will be struggling to hop on.

Prices were 33E adult or 28E senior, and he vendor just gave me the senior rate without checking id. I found it very enjoyable just relaxing at the top of the bus and enjoying the views. Like some of the other comments, I thought the commentary was a bit sparse and could use more in-depth. Sometimes where we were did not match up exactly where the building the audio was referring to. It was a bit crackely, but I did hear it fine. The driver and ticket taker were very nice. It was clean, except that prior passenger left map brochures all over the place. You can keep your ear phones for using on a plane or elsewhere. There are two routes, and I took the southern, which took about 3 hours. So if you want to do both - plan on an entire day.

Was pretty good circuit good timetable solid but Barcelona is a very busy place certain stops were not possible to get on. One thing that needs attention is the audio. I would have liked more commentary.
Many of the 9 buses we were on and off had issues with audio plugs not working. I would have hoped someone checks that they are working daily.

There is very little commentary on the bus. Drives to Altea etc then back and had to change bus to do city bit. Whole thing takes three hours and was a bit boring. The ticket lasts for 24 hours so covers all other buses as well so good value for the money.

Bus is great, well maintained and looked fairly new. The audio guide was brilliant but the map needs to improve.
The blue bus and red bus route was very good but there had to be a route going back and forth for the lines so if I missed the stop. I don't have to walk back... We missed the stop of Guell park. However, there is no hop on hop off bus that goes back that way. So we had to walk for like 20mins. Only to find out that we had to go up the hill. So by the time we were there, we were panting for water and sweating. No refreshments on sight available and very limited entertainment.

A great way to see Barcelona especially if you are limited with time. We only had a few days and took two days to do the bus tour as there are different routs and planning ahead on the sights you want to see is a good idea. We used it to visit the main tourist sights so it was convenient way to get around without walking for miles. It is expensive and I wouldn't recommend two days unless you are actually getting off and on to see the sights. For us it was a good option as it enabled us to do a lot in the two days. We did Casa batlo, Museum of Catalunys, cable car Montjuic , castle de Muntjuic, Park Guel The Banky exhibition, markets, Sagrada familia ,Basilica De le Mere just to name a few places .

I had high expectations thinking this would be the Best way to explore Barcelona (wrong) we made our way to stop 2 where we were told we were at the wrong company we wandered and to where the employee directed us to find no stop after double checking our booking we concluded she was wrong and walked to stop 3 where we eventually got on after 2 buses where full ,we found after getting off a couple of times we were waiting a good ten minutes while the Turistic bus had 4 buses come and go to our 1 and the Turistic bus wasn’t over crowded next time well use the Turistic bus

What a beautiful city !! A great way to see the main attractions.
These buses were regular and we never had any problems getting on the upper deck.
It was probably the best way for us to see the city.

I will have luggage when I get off at cruise terminal. Do they have luggage storage on bus?
John E

If your luggage doesn't take up to much room and the bus not full I don't see a problem. Obviously it will make it awkward if you want to hop on and off at several spots as you will have to take it with you so I would advise dropping it off at your hotel first so you can take advantage of doing this hassle free.

Yes there is very close but dont do the the tour
It is the worst hope on hop off I have been on.
The crowd too many people in the bus. So many people standing that it made it difficult to see. Only some of the outlets for the earphones and commentary worked. There is no information on the commentary doesn't really tell you anything that you cant read on the street sighs
It seems they developed the app for show but did not bother to put content into it. It doesnt even track gps location.

We’re traveling from Madrid to Barcelona just for the day so our time is very limited is it worth getting the day pass? How we get the schedule and know where to catch the bus?

We had a really good experience on the buses. Go to any of their stops (we checked out online) to get on and they will give you a map and headphones. We bought vouchers online so we didn't have to stand in line to pay the first time.
Have fun!
