The breakfast is ok, nothing special and the rooms very comfortable.
Unfortunately the staff at the front desk is very unprepared, almost nobody speaks English and I saw the guests having problem with this. It is strange but at the end you think that they don't want the guests there. The only exception in a guy called Andre Soares. He was always smiling and doing his best.
Anyway, as the hotel is wonderful as I said, I would stay there again.
Checkin took a while and was quite bureaucratic; you have to ask for one wifi password for each device, but that really doesn't make a difference because the wifi doesn't work properly in some rooms; no control for the air conditioning in the living room; my shower was clogged and almost flooded the bathroom.
The pros? Nice, ample rooms, comfortable bed, quiet area and a great breakfast.
With better management, Brisas can become a great hotel.
The stay in the hotel was very unpleasant.
Sure, there are some facilities that are interesting (swimming pool, jaccuzi)... but not working... or not working very well.
The main swimming pool was not working during the whole stay, without any explanation (when we asked, the staff did not know why). The staff told me to go to the paddling pool instead, telling me that people very enjoy it!!! A joke (how to swim in 5 minimiters of water). The other paddling pool had a little more water (at knee level), but too small to swim. However, I tried it... but this was closed the day after (again without explanation. I would like to know what happened because I went to that paddling pool, and it should just normal to know what happened. Was it a problem of quality of the water??? If not, tell us what was the pb)
Moreover, the staff need to learn more how to work in an hotel, as they don't seem to know international standards regarding hotel management.
The room was very dirty (cockroach in the room several times during the stay!!!), not confortable and some items were missing (no blanket, whereas we requested for it at the desk office because it was very cold during the night. BTW, the housekeeper should learn how to make the bed!!!)
A last point, the hotel faces a lake. That should be fine. However, according to what we were told from inhabitants from Brasilia, it is not recommanded to swim into this lake (wherease the staff advise us to swim into this polluted lake). We can see that 2 large pipes (from sewage?!) of the hotel go directly into the lake. Moreover, this lake is know for this (sewage... Several years ago, the odor was so strong that they discharged some chemical products)
At the end, the conclusion is that we should be reimbursed for our so unpleasant stay in that 2 (mxm 3 stars if swimming pool was working) (not 5 stars) hotel.

As it has more than 700 rooms/aparatments you can really get lost and the 5-digit numbering of the rooms to identify the 5 different blocks and aisles are quite confusing to find orientation.
The loication is in pure nature, nice, but to there is no infrsatructure around, you need to take a cab to go somewhere, something quite usual in Brasilia.
- No cable TV in the rooms
- No iron facilities in the rooms
- No cattle in the rooms
- Poor variety in the breakfast buffet
- Ridiculous offer in the restaurant. If you consider that the hotel is in the middle of nowhere (you can't just walk to a restaurant nearby because there is nothing, you cannot have as only choices a USD 23 burger without even fries and ham & cheese sandwiches!)
- No vending machines in the whole property, you are forced to buy USD 4.5 bottles of water from the frigobar
- Only ONE elevator with 6 people capacity for a floor with 50+ rooms!! and no steps visible!
- There is no sports bar, lounge, live music or something to do after work at nights
- The reception counter has only 2 positions -for a hotel with 300+ rooms!!! Ridiculous!!
The investors, I believe, should consider to handle the property to a management who really knows about hotels. They have build a fantastic hotel, but cannot be managed so poorly. This should be the best hotel in Brasilia, by far, but needs to be managed properly.
Weird things: NO SPORTS CHANNELS in the TV Cable!!! No channels in English, not even CNN!!! nothing!!! These days the Copa America Centenario is broadcasting, as well as the NBA Finals .. so guess what? you have to go somewhere else, because in this crazy hotel they have 5 channels to follow the crooks in the Brazilian Senate blaming each other for the corruption cases, and there is no international television much less sport TV!!!! ridiculous!!
No iron or iron board in the rooms ... that is not asking too much; in the civilized world every hotel (even express) has an iron .. well . not here .. so, your choices are clear, you either pay USD 4 to get your shirt ironed, or .. walk in wrinkles!!
Internet is lousy, inestable and slow.
Really, a waste, a waste of place, location with a VERY POOR management. Good knows who these Intercity are, but obviously have no idea about managing a hotel with international practices. Not having channels in Spanish or English, not even having sports .. what are guests expected to watch? Brazilian soap operas or the drammas of the Brazilian Senate!!??? gimme a break!!!
