Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The hotel was conveniently just three blocks from the Sagrada Familia and a major Metro stop. The staff were very friendly and accommodating, the room was agreeable & clean (but basic - no high-end frills) and the surrounding area had the type of businesses one would need should you realize you forgot something or wanted to buy water or snacks to keep in your room (refrigerator supplied). They also offer "apartments" for families or groups traveling together. Should I have the opportunity to return to Barcelona, I will return to the Sagrada Familia Hotel.

The room is okay but nothing special. The location of the hotel is far 40 min walking from the city center. The room could be cleaner. In general, this hotel is overpriced compared to other hotels in the city center that offer similar rooms and services.

First time staying in this hotel in Barcelona and it won't be the last. Stayed a total of 5 nights. I have already booked for March 2022!! We arrived early after our flight and where able to leave luggage in store room and they gave us an early check in two hours later which was great. Room was very comfortable and clean. Having fridge in room was a bonus. We had breakfast and it was better than expected, very good continental selection and hot selection. Great tea and coffee. Room was refreshed and cleaned every day. A great local shop and pharmacy across the road and a great little coffee shop next door which has great banana bread. Plenty of choice of restaurants in the area but our favourite was La Piazzenza (amazing pasta) In all I would highly recommended this hotel for there great service and the area, you can't go wrong.

Very poor experience staying in this hotel. When we checked into our hotel we were told our room number and given the key.

About 20mins after arriving, a random person entered our room having been given the same room number/key. (I had just got out the shower) Someone from the hotel also came up about 5mins later and walked in without knocking to say we were in the wrong room but when we showed her the room key and paper said it was ok. About 2 hours later we got a phone call to the room whilst we were sleeping to check our booking and the hotel tried to say we had mixed up the booking and room. In the morning after our first night of the hotel a cleaner walked into our room without knocking early in the morning around 7am!

Each day the card has been blocked when trying to enter the room - on the second time this happened my friend went down to reception to be to “yes it expired because you had extended your booking” when we hadn’t.

Air conditioning barely works which in Barcelona in the summer has made it very hot and difficult to sleep. On the second night we asked for extra pillows as we only have one poor quality pillow each which doesn’t support our necks. We were told the hotel didn’t have any extra pillows.

Staff have been helpful with some request I.e. printing of a few travel documents and are polite but overall We have been made to feel uncomfortable and that our privacy has been invaded somewhat by constant interruptions into our room.

I stayed in the hotel in November for 3 nights. I chose them because I wanted a fairly priced hotel that is not among the cheapest ones and really wanted to avoid hostels...

So this one came up with some special price on their own website with fancy pictures taken from the rooms. Also checked some of the booking sites about the hotel's rating and the cleanliness was what convinced me. But I couldn't have made a worse choice...

If you want to have a clean hotel then this is definitely not for you guys! I don't know what the Spanish standards are but I'll just let the images speak for themselves.

Oh, and I almost forgot about the blanket... When I asked if it was the only blanket they provide for the rooms the receptionist just stared at me without knowing what my problem is.

Hotel is not comfortable. We had booked dbl room with king sized bed but we had been given with a twin bed room. We asked for change but receptionist said there was no other option. Then we have found out the floor is very dirty not cleaned and there were many hair pieces so we complained and they finally changed the room but the new room was also dirty with hairs on the ground. Towels were not enough and we asked for additional towel but receptionist said to come and pick up cause he was alone at hotel.
This hotel is not a clean as it is supposed to be standard.

We picked this hotel purely because of its location. We have a family member living nearby and needed somewhere central. The hotel is a bit like a dated premier inn .The rooms are very basic and the bathrooms extremely dated.we found the hotel to be clean and the staff friendly and helpful.Everything we asked for was provided for us extra pillows iron and ironing board etc .The rooms are generally dark and our room had no view. The main problem for us was the air conditioning! We discovered fairly quickly that although you have an air conditioning control panel in your room it does not work ! The hotel has the air conditioning set at 23 degrees and this cannot be changed! This is far too high and the room never really got properly cool for us which is a real problem as Barcelona in the summer months is very hot !!

The staff is very friendly and service oriented but the hotel is very poor shape, the room is not comfortable, the pillows are not even real pillows. They didnt had the AC available because of winter but it wasn't even winter there... they had the heater on automatically and it made an awful sound in the night that didn't let us sleep. Location wise is ok, very close to Sagrada Familia Church but is next to a school so in the morning there is the noise of kids yelling and running around.

This hotel was in a fab location to Sagrada and also has a rooftop terrace with a good view of Sagrada. Price wise was reasonable and it was clean and room size was reasonable for what a choose. Free WiFi and I had buffet breakfast which I think could have had more choose but was adequate.

A value for money hotel to use as a base. The rooms are clean and have a fridge, kettle tea and coffee. Breakfast was good, a wide selection of hot and cold food that kept us both going till late afternoon. I would stay again and recommend for the price and location

If, like me, you really like your coffee in the morning, then go to the little coffee-shop next door rather than have coffee at the hotel. If your main interest is the food, then the hotel buffet is good value for the money, at, I think, 8 or 10 € per person.
