The hotel has all the basics, but it lacks for maintenance. Overall cleaning is fine, but some details need more attention (like other peoples air under the sink). The room was very small with no outer windows. I recommend for short stay or if you just want a place to sleep, but in that case probably there are cheaper alternatives.

We were here only 1 night after spending 2 weeks in this vicinity at an Airbnb. The hotel is in an old building that has been beautifully renovated. Our room on the 5th floor was lovely. We found complimentary bottles of wine and water waiting for us in the room. The shower was powerful and the bathroom equipped with shampoo, conditioner, hair dryer, shower cap and magnifying mirror. We were also pleasantly surprised to find a king size bed. We loved having our own Romeo & Juliet balcony as do most of the older buildings in Barcelona. The hotel is on a quiet neighborhood street with nearby supermarkets, cafes and restaurants. We particularly enjoyed Mangos for coffee and chai latte where you can sit all day if you are tired after touring. The Tetuan metro is a few blocks away and you can walk to the city centre (Pg. de Gracia) in 20+ minutes.

Good location, pleasant reception and an overall nice place to be. On the other hand, the room was truly small ( just enough space to move) and there was no refrigerator to place any water bottle etc. The worst thing about the room was the soundproofing, as there was absolutely non-existing between the room and the bathroom (complete lack of privacy) as well as the the outside noise. Also, the bathroom door was made of an almost see-through piece of glass.

It is within walk distance to Sagrada Família and near a major subway station and a couple of bus stops. You can take the bus to Casa Batlló or Park Guell directly. That is how convenient the hotel location is.
The room is very clean and stylish, and quiet.
Just the hotel room doesn't has electronic water kettle, nor free bottle water. They supposed to have water in the hotel lobby, but the couple of days I was there, the water jar was not refilled. The hotel staff at that time is not willing to fill it(I asked). so there is NO water to drink during my stay, I had to buy water from the street to bring back to the hotel room. I filed a complaint (May 2019) via hotel website, no response.

Good hotel with central location and near to Sagrada Familia. Yes the small double room was tiny! But it was just used to sleep and shower and i was out all day and most of the evening. Staff really helpful and friendly with recommendations, giving directions and they even lent me a phone charger and plug. Hotel was clean. Abit expensive but booked last minute. 1 bottle of water on arrival in room along with shower gel/shampoo and conditioner in the bathroom. Would stay again. Also walking distance from Arc de Triomf metro and felt safe as a solo traveller.

The first thing to say about this hotel is the breakfast is every inch as delicious as the photographs on the website suggest. The lady who organises the breakfast is nothing short of a one woman show! The hotel is a fifteen minute walk from the main stretch. Lots of great places to eat and grab a coffee nearby. Reception were not able to help me with booking tickets which was an issue as my data roaming wouldn't work. The key to my door was faulty so on numerous occasions I would get four floors up and then have to come down again! Tips: The supermarket in the next street is the place to purchase bottled water. A 600% markup is a bit steep. The breakfast is 14 euro per person per day if you pay at the hotel but only 10 if you pay on the website when booking.

This place looks great online but in reality it is just mediocre. The best thing about it is the location, a 20 minute walk to Sagrada Familia. The walls are paper thin and you can hear the comings and goings of all around you as well as the flushing of toilets. Most hotels give you a free bottle of water a day. I was there for 4 nights and after the bottle of water in my room the first day, they wanted me to pay for it. Granted, water is not a big expense but it contributed to the bad impression I received of the place. And then it took them 20 minutes to locate my invoice when I was checking out to go to the airport. I had to ask the woman at the desk 3 times to speak to her manager. She ignored me. If you are looking at hotels in Barcelona for this price point, you can find something much more comfortable than this.

Service: everybody from the personnel was very friendly and always ready to help.
Cleanliness: we were getting fresh sheets and towels every day. Our room was also cleaned daily.
Location: PERFECT location! We could reach many visit-worthy places on foot. In addition, there were many different public transportation options close to the hotel (metro, bus), which were available around the clock.
Rooms: the very much needed air conditioning was available and working perfectly. Same for WLAN. On the negative hand, the rooms were quite dark with very little day light. The showers did their job, but could definitely use some remodeling.
Quality of sleep: the elevator was pure horror. We would constantly wake up in the night due to how loud the elevator was. Also, it was very wobbly, so it always felt scary and dangerous using it.
Breakfast: many food options, always fresh and delicious.
All in all, we had a very good experience, apart from the sleep disturbance.

Got an amazing deal for Black Friday, so that was the initial goal of staying at this hotel, but after visiting, my mind had changed - I would have payed the extra anyways! There is high value in this hotel and the staff are extra friendly and solve any occured problems right away. Good English too. Goodluck to everyone, it's very recommended.

Good: Room clean, enough toiletries, excellent location, air conditioning able to heat too, spacious shower corner in the bathroom (smaller bathtub would fit there). Tiny fridge (no minibar inside). Bad: Only one blanket on a double bed, requested another one using telephone but they forgot to reach us back. Door to the shower corner and also the bathroom is made of glass so the privacy is reduced. Dust in air conditioning.

First of all, thank you for choosing the Hotel SERHS Carlit for your stay. We do not offer a pick up from the station, but our great location allows you to arrive really easily. The streets are quite flat and straight, so I don't think you will have a problem on that.
About the storage issue, I suggest you call directly to the hotel reception so they will help you with that.

SERHS Carlit Hotel is 30 minutes away from Barcelona cruise port. You can get there directly from our hotel taking the L2 metro line (from Tetuan to Paral·lel). From Paral·lel metro station to the port there are 5 minutes by walk.
If you need a hotel close to the cruise port, I would recommend SERHS Del Port, located in Paral·lel, 5 minutes by walk to the port.
