We are regular visitors to the other Xanadu hotel (in Antalya) but thought we would treat ourselves to a stay at the Xanadu Island, as no younger family members joining us on this trip. However, we were very sadly disappointed! Hotel location is wonderful with stunning views on 3 sides. Suite was large and well furnished. Beach was great, as were pools etc. Bars were all excellent and waiters did their best to keep everyone topped up with drinks and snacks, both during the day and evenings. However, this hotel is sadly let down by extremely poor customer service. The house keeping in our room was, at best, poor. Mini-bar service was virtually non-existent. Reception and Guest Relation staff were abrupt and unhelpful and when we had several issues with our room it took more than one attempt to get any resolution, with no apologies. The biggest disappointment, however, was the food. The menu in the main buffet restaurant was extremely repetitive and there was very little variation in the dishes offered from day to day. Due to reduced opening of both a-la-carte restaurants, availability here was severely limited and bookings hard to come by. Shall we be returning? Most likely not! It will be back to the Xanadu Resort for us, where they know how to keep their guests happy!

Just returned from our first visit to this amazing hotel. Everything was perfect from the room, staff, food and facilities provided. The lady that cleaned our room was superb, we spent our days around the smaller pool and the guys behind the bar were excellent. On my husbands birthday he was left flowers, an amazing cake and bubbles chilling for our return from a day trip. Plenty of choice for food and all of a good quality. There is also a book library should you run out of something to read, I ordered a book from my sunbed around the pool, it was delivered with the delicious cocktail that I had ordered. We will definitely be returning as it was the best holiday we have ever had. Thank you to everyone at Xanadu for making our holiday sheer bliss.

Noticed review moaning about cold plates at barbecue , heated plates are always available so maybe should look better .

Great service on beach and round pool , very pro-active
