Great location and views of the D`amour
Unfortunately the rooms were very dated and in need of a good clean and renovation. Upon our arrival after a very long day traveling and the coach transfer driver couldn't fine the apartments and was very unhelpful and virtually kicked us off at the wrong location and just said down there somewhere.
Having had 2 youg children with us and suitcases in the height of the mid day sun 32+ oC this was very stressful. we managed to get to the apartment some 4 hours after landing thanks the the help of the guys at the Rock pool bar. We were greeted by the receptionist who wasn't interested in our ordeal and only wanted to tell us everything that couldn't be done because of Corvid19 (no cleaning or clean towels during our stay) we did actually get 1 room clean & 1
towel change during our stay after my wife commented on this. She then went on about how much we had to pay for room tax deposit & air con charges, (€89) Because we had a double room and 2 units which we explained that we didn't want 2 units just the one in the main bedroom we were told we couldn't do that we had to pay for 2 units. so we declined the offer. Finally After getting the keys and going to our apartment we were very disappointed at the condition of the room. It was dull and dismal and very dated with dirty surfaces shabby old kitchenette area and rooms cupboards had a strong damp smell and had to leave the doors open to air for a couple of hours to air out. no brush and dust pan or mop in the room very poorly equipped utensils and had to go to the supermarket to buy bowls so grandchildren could have their morning cereals
Although a very good view from the balcony a very disappointing stay and wouldn't recommend until it has had a re-vamp

Coming to the end of our 9 day holiday at canal d'amour Village the rooms where basic but big with a large balcony (block A), found all of the staff very friendly and always had time for a smile and a quick chat some people have said that the beds where hard but I found this to my liking and have had no trouble with my back as I have found due to beds in other holiday locations. Our rooms where cleaned every other day by a loverly lady with a big beaming smile who was so friendly and done a fantastic job, thank you. The area it is situated in is within a short walk of whatever you fancy plenty of restaurants and bars we only went to sidari strip once as we preferred the more relaxing atmosphere of canal d'amour, some people have mentioned the man keep telling them that the parking was private, we where asked once and I watched him one afternoon doing a fantastic job of making sure people where aware that they had to purchase to use the facilities because if it wasn't for him people actually staying at the hotel would not be able to get around the pool or parked. All in all a fantastic holiday would definitely use canal d'amour apartments again.
