This is the second time we have been to the Royalton Cayo Santa Maria. The facility has all the amenities you require for a relaxing vacation. It is Cuba folks so shortages do happen. Be kind. The staff of this hotel is what really sets it apart. They are helpful, cheerful and gracious. Our butler Michel Romero, was amazing. He was always there to make our day better. His team mate Jean who is relatively new was also impressive. A big shout out to the staff at the Sunset snack bar. Anya we love you. In conclusion if you want an affordable relaxing time in the sun go to the Royalton

We had a great time with our friends- the beach is amazing and the staff working to keep it clean, and get us fresh coconuts daily were awesome. Javier and Maria were our butlers, and although we didn’t need anything, they made sure to great us daily and check in to see how we were and if they could do anything for us. Javier left us a beautiful table decoration for our welcome! The rooms were always clean, with fresh towels, and great air conditioning.
The food options were different than what we are used to, and yes, some items depleted quickly over a few days. However, the staff made a great deal of effort to be creative, and offer enjoyable cuisine from CUBA.
The entertainment each day/ night was great, and always different- so much fun!
As stated above, some items depleted quickly throughout the week- but our mindset was- amazing location, amazing staff, and amazing time with our friends.

We just got back from a week at the Royalton CSM. We had a wonderful time. Many people are concerned about food shortages in Cuba, but that was not much of an issue for us. There were no eggs a few mornings. That's about it. The food was quite good and there was always a variety of options. The BBQ by the lower pool at lunch was fabulous as was the grill at the beach. A shout out to Letitia who served us at many of our meals. Also, a shout out to our two butlers, Noelvis and Andreas who took great care of us throughout the week. The staff are very friendly and very hard working. If you're looking for a quiet, relaxing get away, with a beautiful beach and great service, this is a great choice.
