My wife and I are currently here on day 4 of 7 . This is our second trip here in a row . We love coming to this location the staff are absolutely amazing people .

That being said it does seem they are experiencing some supply issues such as no milk the last few days for coffee and such . The buffet appears to be more limited this visit than last with any sort of proteins being extremely limited .
One can still get by and eat lots however do not expect to be eating as you might at home .

ALL CANADIANS VISITING CUBA our loonies and toonies are completely useless to these people that are working so hard to make our vacations enjoyable . They are able to exchange cdn paper currency but the coin they cannot . U.S paper currency may be utilized immediately .

Last but not least keep an open mind and remember you are on vacation in their country . If you are rude , have a chip on your shoulder or think you better than everyone else stay home ! The Cuban people are wonderful people who will go out of their way to make you feel welcome and try to ensure you have a great time .

This resort is good value for dollar and an affordable getaway so long as you don’t come here expecting 5 star .

For Santa Maria it’s not worth it here

So I normally don’t write bad reviews but I felt like what people are writing is not accurate . The rooms are dirty and mediocre, bed are no comfy , they give you one pillow and there are always mosquitoes in the room waiting to but you . We found 3 big cockroaches at the buffet and 2 in our room. Katia at the snack bar was so bad at service I didn’t even want to talk to her ever again . The rest of the staff is amazing and the entertainment is really good but that’s not enough to want to come back. Oh yeah there is no water pressure in the rooms and it takes forever to shower .. sorry hotel playa cayo but I expected more 😒

Room tip: Melia is a great resort for the same price range

Greetings from Cayo Santa Maria Beach:
We appreciate your opinion to take into account all the details that we need to change to offer an excellent service and with the appropriate parameters as is our custom. We are sorry that your stay in our facility has not been completely satisfactory . Our hotel has been in operation for several years and was recently approved and is already immersed in a total renovation and maintenance plan for its areas.
We will thoroughly review with our Accomodations department the mentioned issues in your room and we will take the corresponding measures.
We are sorry that you were not entirely satisfied with the service you have received from some of our staff. Please be advised that all our staff is properly qualified, the Cuban administration go through a rigorous selection process and all the staff that works in the tourism field has previously graduated from courses on different specialties at the Hotel and Tourism Institute, as well as 90% of them are university graduates. Moreover, the Cuban people in general are known for their inborn hospitality and kindness, especially those who work in tourism. Nevertheless, we thank you for your comments and will reinforce supervision of this area.

Cuba 🥰

The best one hôtel🥰🥰🥰🥰!!!! The entertainment staff is very well with : Yorkis, Lisdania, Roberto 69, Julio, Léo, Aussi,Aramis, Muneca, Laura ans Mari.
Very good the food and drink.
Room very confortable!!!!

Wonderful beaches & resort

Amazing resort! The beach is the most beautiful I’ve ever seen. The entertainment crew puts on great shows every night. The beds are also very comfortable and the rooms are nice. I’ll definitely return for another visit!

Cuba 🇨🇺

Been to this resort about 14 times since 2013. Never had a problem. Staff are AMAZING! Beach is the BEST! Entertainment team works very hard to keep you engaged with good activities with Lisdania , Roberto 69,Yorkis, Aramis, Julio, Muñeca, Mari. This place is the best prescription you can get!!

Pablo is the greatest bartender, no contest

Look, this place definitely isn’t perfect. I don’t really want to go into detail about what I didn’t like though. I want to make this review to highlight one of the friendliest and coolest bartenders I’ve ever experienced. If you go here, PLEASE go see Pablo and PLEASE treat him like a friend. If you can, even offer gifts/tips. Pablo was hands down the best bartender ever. He was so kind and always greeted you with a smile or a high five. You can tell he’s a genuinely great person that just wants to share the positivity through his great drinks. When offered gifts, you can tell he genuinely appreciates them too. What a kind soul he is. You can find him working at the little bar located just next to the lobby bar and it’s just a little outside of the lobby. It’s like a bar kiosk. He will make you whatever drink you are looking for and will make it the best he can. If you’re reading this Pablo, thank you for everything. Keep up the great service and I hope fortune finds you!
