We visited in June 2024 as a couple. This is lovely tranquil place excellent for relaxation. The best about this place are staff - friendly, approachable, warm and very helpful. Tropical plants are beatiful and scattered everywhere - all credits to the gardener. Pool is warm and very pleasant… we regularly sneaked out for a late night swim, which was such a treat. Cocktails and other drinks are generously available. Food is very decent. Our favourites were lobster dishes and tropical fruit various ice creams, although some other dishes could improve. We also loved Friday evenings with Ricardo, watching him roll and sampling his aromatic cigars… such a treat, don’t miss it!
On a down side, Melia should do a better job with maintaining the place as there are shubby corners and for example, bathrooms could be bette for 5 star place.
Be aware of jejenes, little midges that particularly lurk at the beach at sonset. If you are unlucky to be responsive to their bites (1 in 4 people), they will give you nightmare, although as far as I can gather they don’t transmit any nasty diseases.
All in all, lovely place that offers very good value for money and is well worth visiting. We certainly enjoyed it!

Great place to rest and relax. Our travel agent recommended Meliá Buenavista and it was a very good option, very satisfied with the stay, it has a main beach that is a beauty, in the end that is why we chose the place in the Keys in Cuba.
Varied gourmet food including beef, chicken, pork, pasta, variety of seafood including lobster, desserts etc. The shortcomings that can be found are understandable, but we had already foreseen that and they are almost not noticeable. Excellent selection of drinks at La Notte bar, snacks by the pool and bar on the beach.
The staff is top-notch, and a very high friendliness and quality of service. People at La Notte bar like Alan, Lady, Jesus, Beatriz are people who made us spend an extremely elegant and pleasant time, they are exceptional people with an unsurpassed service attitude, congratulations to everyone, I couldn't really mention all the names, but all the staff is excellent. We met two very special people who made our stay very pleasant, they are two gardeners Mauricio and Daniel, who are in charge of keeping the place very clean and beautiful, they offered us to cut coconuts to drink and they took them to the beach with great humility and joy, a very good memory of these humble and very happy people.
I recommend to tourists something very simple and rewarding, and that is to offer a tip to all the staff who serve you, it is something that in this place changes the lives of many people who work there and who do it with great passion and joy. The shortcomings are many and remarkable for them, but they work tirelessly and very happily to make our day very pleasant.
