After reading the reviews, we decided on this Hotel for our 1st visit to Corfu. I have to admit to being slightly sceptical of some of the reviews, however, after a week spent in totally enjoyable, chilled out bliss, I have to hold my hands up in acceptance. Owner Spiros has struck Gold here, with the location, high levels of Service and laid back ambience this Hotel provides.
Location: Central on Agios Georgios, a sandy/pebbly beach that was hardly crowded by any stretch of the imagination. 55 mins transfer fro the Airport on some of the most "interesting" roads I have travelled on.
Accommodation: 2 storey Family run Hotel, which caters for all age groups. No need to rush for sunbeds around the pool...even when full, we were able to secure sunbeds at any time during the day around the clean pool area. Mixture of shaded area and open (with optional sun brolly). Rooms all have optional A/C. Cleaned daily and mix of sea view with balcony or rear garden view again with balcony. Kettle and brew kit in every room.
Beach is across a narrow road that is rarely busy.
Facilities: Locally, in easy walking distance are other bars, Restaurants and Supermarkets offering the usual tourist stuff and food/essentials. Good mix of local food/seafood and a few with UK owners happy to cater for the less adventurous palate.
What makes this place stand out for me? Quite simply, the Staff. Owner Spiros and his Muma Dina, have instilled a work/service ethic that starts with them and filters throughout every member of Staff. Younger Spiros in the bar with George, breakfast with Mike and Alexandra and then Waitress service with Sophia and Justyna .... they ALL go out of their way to ensure you have the most chilled, enjoyable stay.
Most of the reviews mentioned feeling like part of the family....I get it, We honestly did feel that way from the minute Spiros and his 2 wee boys tried to wrestle our cases from us on arrival, to the minute we met Muma Dina for the first time with hugs and welcomes to "our home".
I actually feel like shouting about this place....why don't you all come for a visit....but then again, a big part of it's attraction is that this resort isn't overly touristy, so keep it to yourselves...😉🏴
