Relaxing Holiday

Review of Spiros Hotel
Reviewed Jan 5, 2017
The hotel was amazing with good food and a lot of variety. It was also very friendly. We met some amazing people too. Our apartment was very spacious and in a nice location on the complex. I would recommend taking warm clothes if your going in October as it gets very cold in the evenings but you also have heating in the rooms too for that reason.
Date of stay: October 2016
Room Tip: I dont think it matters what part of the hotel complex your on, it's not noisy

We have just had a fab 3 weeks at Spiros hotel and stayed last year also. It is an excellent hotel, very near the beach and a short walk into town, but fairly quiet and very good value for money. Stallios and family keep the hotel immaculate and do everything to ensure guests have a brilliant holiday.

great beach!!! Just 5 min walk
We tried breakfast once, but it was not fresh orange juice and filter coffee, so we went for breakfast to cafes or bought fresh bread and fruits and had it at home. We are vegans, but the whole breakfast at Spiros is from animals. I wish they had soja milk as well as fresh fruits (shouldnt be a problem in Greece).
The small kitchen at Spiros was really nice to have, we always bought veggies and made big salads for lunch and some simple porridge or soup. Went out for dinner.
Our room on the 2nd floor with a view over next hotel (Naxos resort) and the sea, was spectacular!

We've spent 2 very ralaxing weeks at Spiros and we'd gladly return. The owners and the staff have been very friendly, always having an open ear for all kind of questions regarding the neighbourhood or Naxos in general.

In fact there isn't much to say in terms of a complaint, the only thing coming into our mind is the fact that it has got noisy every morning having had the first guests rushing for breakfast starting at 08:00 - closing doors and -lockers pretty loudly, obviously not caring about others who prefer sleeping a bit longer.

However, having thin walls, stone floors and poor (noise) isolation i.e. taking acusticaly part of other guests holiday live is sth very common for most of the hotels in southern resp. warm countries - which we don't want to blame the management for in particular.

For those ones needing a permanent www access - the WLAN signal hasn't been strong enough in our room, however perfect in the pool/reception/breakfast-room area.

...and a big hand for the room service/cleaning crew - the ladies have made a great job, efcharisto!

All in all - we're looking forward to a next time.

There's only good to say about Spiros. We had six: my wife and I and four children, ages 4 to 12. Everything was wonderful -- pretty, clean, comfortable rooms; a fabulous pool; amazing location so you can walk to the beach or the center of town in minutes; and a staff that does everything needed. Especially Stelios, the owner, and his wife, who will do anything you need, from travel and restaurant help to laundry, etc.

The highlight of the hotel is the location. A walk distance from the the city center, restaurants and the bus station where you can take the bus to the beaches. The breakfast is not so good, I would recommend to have breakfast at nearby restaurants and cafes. The rooms are clean ans spacious. As other hotels that we had stay in Greece, I did not like the shower.
