Cozy place, extremely careful people with guests, tasty menu and breathtaking scenery, in addition to the privacy and security of being in a closed condominium. We won’t think about another place when we want to return to Praia do Forte. Thanks!
we only had an extended weekend but this place make us feel like a full holiday. very nice service, always ready to fulfill your needs. we had a spacious suite with a gorgeous view on the ocean. breakfast left no wishes unanswered with tasty fruits and local dishes. at 4pm is teatime with plenty of food. don't forget to try moqueca and other dishes from the restaurant, but also, Coco, Caipirinha and Pina Colada at the beach. taxi was organised to bring us back to Salvador airport (about 180-200R). we will come back. you can also watch turtles.
Last part of our holiday. Wish we could be here longer. The staff are amazing. The food is wonderful, varied, but simple. There is no pool but then who needs one when you have the biggest pool in the world on your doorstep. The Turtle sanctuary is well worth a visit and if you want to see the whales come a little earlier. Rooms are very good too with a balcony overlooking the ocean. Afternoon tea is included (very English) and is sweet and savoury. Oh, and finally, don’t listen to anyone that tells you it is not safe in Brazil. Just like anywhere in the world you need to go to the right place and this is one of them! Come and enjoy!
Praia do forte is a paradise and this hotel is a paradise within this paradise.

All the rooms have a view of the sea from the balcony and a hammock, I had a first floor room with lots of space and comfort, great big shower that was hot and powerful.
The breakfast is typical Bahia breakfast, lots of fresh fruit and continental options, another hidden thing that we found out is there’s an afternoon tea thrown in with the hotel between 4-5 every evening, some lovely cakes there, yum. The restaurant at night is phenomenal, get the seafood platter with lobster, octopus fish and prawn for 2 people for less than £20.
The best bit about the hotel is the private lounging area only metres from a contrasting beach depending on the tides and the bar service that goes with it.
Praia do forte is exquisite with lots of nice restaurants and boutiques shops, and only a couple minutes stroll from the quiet streets of the hotel.
