My husband and I just returned home from the RDC. It was our 18th trip there and it is still an awesome place to visit. This was our first time back at the RDC since February 2020 and the start of Covid 19. Even though the resort was not at full capacity as it usually is, it did not take away from us enjoying another awesome and fantastic vacation there.

The management and staff at the RDC have done an outstanding job with the Covid protocols that have been put in place throughout the resort. Hand sanitizers are everywhere to be found throughout the entire resort. The rooms are cleaned extensively and are spotless. In the buffets and specialty restaurants you will find your silverware in a separate bag and all of the tables are cleaned and sanitized properly between seating’s ensuring a safe and clean environment in which to enjoy your meals.

The staff as always are truly amazing, helpful, friendly and bend over backwards to accommodate you. You will not find a nicer group of people and that is the main reason that we have returned to this resort time and time again. There are several staff members that have become like part of our family over the years.

This is not a five star resort but it does not present itself as such either. It is impeccably clean and the grounds and pools are very well maintained. As for the food at the buffets, no one will go hungry there. There is a lot of selection and wide variety to choose from. Don’t forget.....you are in Mexico so even if some of the items may not be to your liking...........like I said, you won’t go hungry.

There are some truly outstanding staff members who are such exceptional people that I would like to convey our heartfelt thanks and gratitude to: First to Yadira Ricardo at the front lobby..............Muchas gracias for everything that you do and have done for us. You are an amazing lady Yadira and we love you so much!!! We are so grateful for everything that you do to make our stay at the RDC so special. Thanks also to Karina Pastran, Guest Services Manager.............thank you so much Karina for all of your help and kindness. You are doing an amazing job as the new Guest Services Manager. To Marissa our outstanding and very talented housekeeper...........you are the best Marissa. Muchas gracias for all of the wonderful towel art. You are such a sweetheart! To our bartenders Leo, Alberto, Andres, Javier, Maby, Alexandra, Pedro, Victor, Ruth, Gabriel, Angel, Carlos and the other wonderful bartenders that served us during our stay..............Muchas gracias amigos!!! It was so great to see your smiling faces again. To our waiters and waitress especially Yenni, Marisol (three of them) and Vidal, muchas gracias for your excellent service and kindness!!!

Once again, we would like to thank all of the amazing staff at the RDC for making our vacation so special. Outdated rooms. Bed was terrible. Bathroom worse. Not enough clothes storage. You had to set your alarm at 6 am to make sure you got dinner reservations. The plastic lounge chairs by ALL the pools have to be without a doubt the most uncomfortable i have ever used. Most everyone i saw had to spend 12 bucks to buy an inflatable raft just to use them. The good? Very nice massages just down the road for 400 pesos ( about 20 bucks) and a nice drop off laundry that has same day service.

Naming names: from flamingos restaurant; Hector, Maria, Marten, and Alonzo were incredible! helpful, friendly, and accommodating! top notch service! ( the rest of the staff was also fantastic!). Bartenders; Javier, Rojelio, Pedro, and the man Leopold! these are phenomenal bartenders! Fun, funny, helpful and courteous, everything you could want and more! these gents are now friends!
The resort itself is beautiful! with iguanas and birds to view as well as cactus gardens and many trees and flowering shrubs. steps from town amenities and the beach! The variety of food was great as was the quality. will be going back!
