Five family members attending a funeral took three rooms facing the water on the Strait side of the highway. A staff member waited for our arrival by car from Halifax in a rainstorm for two extra hours. And called us enroute to check on our progress. All of this was done with kindness and patience. The rooms are a bit dated but clean. We were on the end of the building and that allowed for quiet. Sadly covid precautions had meant the pool was closed. There is a restaurant onsite and again it is dated not having changed in years but the staff are courteous and usually prompt. The food portions are generous. We had one unfortunate experience in the restaurant that marred out time where we waited for over forty minutes for a simple meal and finally had to speak to the manager to have it brought to us. Amends was a slice of carrot cake that appeased my husband but not me to any extent. Overall we were quite satisfied with our stay.
