Don't be deceived by pictures

The pictures don't do justice to this place. The hotel is affordable and super close to the beach, right infront of a shopping mall and close to other Marriott properties. The hotel grounds are beautiful, the room while smaller than my liking was clean, and had everything I need.

The hotel staff were friendly, helpful and excellent at reading body language. I arrived after a series of long flights at 10pm and was in a rush to get to my room, the check-in staff seemed to understand this really well and was to the point with her service which I hugely appreciated. The staff were kind enough to followup with my shuttle company regarding my pickup which was also highly appreciated.

I genuinely like the hotel I just wish I had a longer time here, it's affordable, clean, centrally located.

I would definitely be happy to return when I'm in Honolulu next.

We have thoroughly enjoyed our visit here. The staff has been outstanding. Kudos to our amazing housekeeper Lorna, she kept our room fresh and tidy everyday and went well beyond what was expected to see if we needed anything or what she could do to enhance our stay. Will definitely stay here again on our next trip

Outdated but conveniently located. Straight out of the 80s and never updated. Pool is really basic. Lots of rules and instructions at check in. They have a tacky card system for pool towels - I guess lots of people steal them for garage rags? Everywhere you look needs update. Feels dingy. Rooms are a bit fresher feeling than common areas but still, it’s overall depressing. The fact they charge a “resort fee” is sort of laughable - pool and ping pong tables. I feel badly for the huge koi (beautiful) in a tiny pond in open air lobby. Appreciated the early check in and late check out as a bonvoymember.

Room tip: Cheap place to stay, convenient to where you’ll want to be. Bring a noise cancelling device or app for sleeping.

We paid for an ocean view room but only got a partial view. The bed had 4 pillows and they were all the same and all bad loose floppy pillows. Usually hotels give you a variety of pillows. I requested a quiet room but I was placed above the pool and the street performers. The hotel is not in control of street performers but they know they are there and they know they are loud! Police station right below our room so lots of sirens. Very poor quality body wash and shampoo. You really need to take your own if you stay here. We signed up for a lei making class and that was great! (You have to sign up for things 3 days in advance) Close to beach. Wow the street below is crazy busy. Lots of homeless. Housekeeping was very good. It never really felt cool in the room no matter how we set the thermostat. Not cool anywhere in hotel.

Wonderful staff all happy and friendly, let down little as rooms are basic small and dated.
Not sure where to ocean, city or scenic views are as we looked at car park overlooking the garbage bins, not able to open the door due to smell.

No buffet when we visited so costly breakfast in restaurant however there are multiple choices in the vicinity.

Relatively close to most things and tourist trolley (buses)
