We stayed as a couple while rest of family were in a rental house or other location. Perfect setting, staff were 100% awesome! Well-trained professionals, from front desk to housekeeping staff. Highly recommended. Comforts and amenities were worth the price. We got what we paid for.
Paddy’s Bar & Grill on first floor was an easy go-to. Allergy safe for celiac and shellfish allergic members of family. And COVID safe, too.
Overall good (if extremely pricey) summer stay in Bar Harbor. My boyfriend and I (and my small dog) spent a long weekend at the West St Hotel recently. Pros: beautiful and comfortable rooms with outdoor space (ours had a great ocean front view), extremely pet friendly!, friendly and helpful staff, convenient parking and guest pantries are a great touch. Cons: room prices are STEEP (and dynamic! Rate dropped significantly after the 7-day ahead cancellation window ended which made me feel almost immediately “ripped off” prior to even arriving), while being super friendly and generally helpful, staff seemed a bit scattered and required multiple “asks” to get certain things done/fixed, additional “resort fee” is tacky at this price point — just build it in to the room rate since it’s not an “optional” fee. We enjoyed ourselves and the location and comfort of this hotel can’t be beat. Just be prepared to pay for the privilege.
We just had two wonderful days at this resort with two kids . The location is perfect- beautiful views, amenities, friendly staff and clean rooms (love the Nest products). Each floor has complementary Nespresso and Kuring, bottle water and whole fruit. The room top pool sunset is the best spot in town and the pools at affiliated hotels are awesome too- right on water, family friendly, towels, bar, etc. You can walk to everything, parking secure and easy (which is a feat in this busy town), and it’s just a few min to Acadia park entrance. The workout room is great and they even have bike storage. The golden dog Finn who hangs out in lobby and the crackling fire on our rainy departure day made us already miss the hotel. Staff is super helpful with anything you need too. Can’t wait to come back!
Top notch in every area. They really roll out the red carpet!! Super friendly staff in restaurant and hotel along with Finnagin the big yellow dog at reception. By far worth the money no matter what time of year
Terrific location close to the harbour. Great for people watching. The food in the restaurant was very good with a nice selection. All selections were nicely presented. Servers were extremely nice and knowledgeable. Would recommend.
