Waterfront paradise

Reviewed Dec 6, 2023
We spent two nights in our little coastal cabin. At sunset, the view of the water from the cabin is mesmerizing. The cabin is nicely furnished and has a gas fireplace to warm up the rooms. The bed was comfortable, and will be returning next year.

We paid for this facility but ended up not staying here so I won't comment on the rooms. However we changed our itinerary and had to cancel the room but was told there is a 14 day advance cancellation policy. Totally beyond any other place I have stayed at in 50 years of travel and not even a partial cancellation - they took full payment. In addition we had to sign a waiver in advance that stated no children, no pets and absolutely no guests. We were so off put by these unfriendly policies that we didn't even use it for part of our trip. There are too many other places to stay in the area to accept this.

Room tip: Make sure that you pay attention to the cancellation policy. This is really only a place for couples.

We just returned from a wonderful Canadian thanksgiving weekend at Seascape.

I loved the very thorough welcoming email. It outlines everything you need to know about the cabins and being a guest at the resort. It also includes great information about the services and activities nearby. It was so helpful.

The cabins are very nicely laid out and lots of thought has been put into the amenties and organization. They feel very private - even though they are fairly close together.

The instructions for the use of the hot tub are very clear - you get special towels and bathrobes as well!

We were there during post tropical storm Phillipe - the cabins were so quiet and cozy it was great! Also had a front row seat to the storm!

Best play to stay in the area for sure! We stayed here for two nights and travelled around the Cabot Trail visiting different must see sites. We did a few hiking trails and a road trip to Meat Cove. The best gift shop on the Cabot Trail is right across the road - The Groovy Goat! Ask to stay in Cabin 8 as we think it has the best views. All the rooms were very private and you couldn't see your neighbours because of the way they are placed on the property. Nice porch to sit on and view the water with a glass of wine or your morning coffee. Well equipped cabins with everything you need if you wanted to cook in your room. Comfortable sitting area to read or watch the TV. The bed was very comfortable and everything in the cabin was in great shape and good working order. Very quiet and clean as a whistle. Thank you for a wonderful stay and can't wait to come back!

Room tip: Ask for Cabin 8

We had a lovely three nights at this charming one bedroom cottage with a deck and our own private hot tub. All spotlessly clean and well equipped kitchenette. Good restaurant's near by and the Cabot Trail with the Cape Breton National Park near by.

Room tip: Best food near by is the Crofter's Table. And don't miss the walk out to White Point about a half hour north.

Lovely, comfortable cottages. We stayed here for five nights in early September. The cottage was clean and well-maintained. The view from the porch or the front room is just amazing. The bath and the bedroom are really nice. I wish we could have a cottage like this everywhere we go!

Room tip: Nice little kitchen, with two burners, a microwave, a little sink, and a dorm-sized fridge.
