I booked a superior suite in the main inn. You can’t be guaranteed a room number, which I knew, but if it’s a superior suite in the main inn that’s what I should have received upon arrival. I even called in my reservation to make sure I was booking this correctly and to ask questions. They gave my reservation to someone else and “upgraded “ me to a condo away from inn that had 2 sets of stairs, the ac wasn’t big enough to reach the lower level bedroom, and never called to ASK me if I’d like the supposed upgrade. This condo wasn’t handicapped accessible, no thought was given to this if I needed those accommodations. The front desk just went around in circles, I spent over an hour on check- in trying to get my reserved room. The manager wouldn’t come to speak with us, even though we were there Friday night until Monday, even after asking to talk with him. We spent Friday night sleepless in a hot stuffy condo and the next day went back to the main inn to try again to fix their mistake. Mariah was able to get us into the building next door, which still wasn’t in the main inn and didn’t have the king bed, but it was at least closer to what I booked. We then moved all our stuff back into the car and another room. I feel like I wasted my vacation coming here doing all this nonsense because this place doesn’t understand how to keep someone’s reservation. I wrote an email to Alan, the manager, before writing this review and he didn’t reply. I know his famous words of sorry, but yours is a rare bad review. Alan, if you bothered looking at reviews and speaking to your guests,instead of hiding in your office, or avoiding guests, you might actually show you care that people are spending their money at this resort. The free drink vouchers don’t come close to amending the issues. I also have a credit on my bill, but that never appeared on my credit card statement. I have contacted the Maine state attorney general, since the inn was not helpful in remedying this. The resort fees need to be looked into because it’s robbery especially if you don’t use any of these things. There are plenty of other reviews that have had similar experiences and as you can read them for yourself Alan’s reply is basically the same, showing he is either clueless or just doesn’t care.
