For starters we tried calling the hotel all day on 1/23//23 and no answer! We wanted an early check in! We also asked for a later check out time by half hour to an hour and there was an attendant who knocked on our door three times to see when we were leaving! Also noticed that there were several empty rooms! WHY charge a high rate when you could charge lower and have full occupancy? Staff was friendly and things were clean. We would stay again next year given we were honored a discount! Please acknowledge address and respond in this matter. We look forward to your response. Thank you

dbbarkley315 - We have spent an inordinate amount of time attempting to explain to you that you signed a registration card at check in that clearly reflects what you paid and what was charged to you; room rate plus 13% tax which must be collected. We do have a record of the many emails that have already been sent and received. Not sure anyone who is reading your review could possibly understand why you should be afforded a discount since your stay was quite pleasant, according to you.

Very nice property. Great location, great pool area.

Went to Siesta Beach and Village. This hotel was a few minutes away from each. Also convenient to the many businesses on Hwy 41. Gecko's pub (very good) a short walk across the parking lot. Staff was great. Pool area surrounded by palm trees and has a cozy pool area tiki bar. Not a huge pool area but decent. Hot tub on the small side but had no trouble using it when we wanted to. Hotel is "motel" style, but we liked being able to access our room directly from the outside. Property is probably an older building due to its design, but you would not know it, it is kept up very well and super clean. Lots of convenient parking, no fighting for spaces like some hotels. Will be back.

Room tip: Don't pay extra for the courtyard, you overlook a parking lot.

$200 rooms being let at $400 and inedible green bananas

At $400 per night + tax overall the hotel was bad VFM. Desk staff were pleasant , rooms would have been adequate at $200 per night and the breakfast was extremely poor more like a hostel than a hotel . Everything on offer looked and was cheap . Plastic utensils, if you could find them . To top it all the bananas were so green you had to peel them with a plastic knife and then they were inedible

David S. - This is peak, peak season in Sarasota/Siesta Key Florida - Feb thru April. Room rates are at their highest during this time of year whether you are near the beach or not. We are actually on the less expensive side of Siesta Key rates. We have many, many happy guests who love our breakfast with fresh fruit (bananas aren't the only fresh fruit available), freshly made oatmeal, hot egg and sausage choices, freshly made to order pancakes, yogurt bar with your choice of toppings and much more. Great value regardless of your room rate but add in our free transportation anywhere on Siesta Key; our freshly made popcorn; cookies daily; state of the art espresso/coffee/latte machine, all complimentary and you have good value for your stay. Tax rate is 13% and incidentals are charged nightly, later returned to your credit card if you do not charge to your room. Not sure how you got to $400 - likely around $300 per night all in - unless you booked a double suite which doesn't sound as if that was the case.

A day away

We only stayed for one night to enjoy Siesta Beach. Everything was great except for the wake-up knock and door opening at 9:30 am from housekeeping! when check out is at 11:00am.
Overall a good experience.

Winter Break

Tyler, Troy, and Kristen at the front desk are spectacular. Rooms are clean and nice. Free breakfast is good, but limited options.

Ad says pool chairs are plentiful. Not the case. People save chairs before breakfast. All filled up by 9 a.m. They never show up to their chairs until after lunch. Saw a lot of elderly people who wanted to enjoy the weather, but couldn't find a place to sit. Sad. Pool towels aren't great, so bring your own. Pool is beautiful and warm.

Breakfast attendant is a grouch!

Housekeeping was hit or miss. One day, no towels, toilet paper, or soap. One day housekeeper never came at all, so no cups for two days. Had to grab towels at desk.

Location is good for getting to the beach. Lots of restaurants that are walkable.

Room tip: Grab a pool chair early!

djt8821 - Thank you for taking the time to tell us what you liked and may not have liked about our property. The pool area is first come, first served and doesn't open until 8 AM. When the weather is fabulous and the hotel is full, people want to enjoy the pool area which is large and has a lot of lounge and regular chairs available. Seems to be the same situation in similar places such as on board cruise ships, for instance, when you try to maneuver for poolside seating. Housekeeping service will provide you with normal amenities as long as you do not place a DND on your guest room door when they arrive. Sometimes, guests forget that they have done so. Thanks for staying.

A good place to stay on Siesta Key

The hotel is well located and the rooms are comfortable and clean. The staff were friendly and helpful. The included hot breakfast had a nice variety of foods to choose from. There is a shuttle for transportation locally.
