Great location within walking distance to the beach. Very quiet, our room was spacious, clean , updated, with a comfortable sofa, and dining table. We stayed in one of their stand alone cottages with our dog. These have fenced private back yards perfect for dogs. Now our goto place whenever we visit the area.
I have been coming to Andrils for almost 30 years now. It is like coming home. The staff is always friendly and helpful. The cottage and grounds are sparkling clean. I noticed some nice upgrades in the cottage since I was last here. It is super welcoming, cozy, and relaxing. We brought our two dogs and it was a pleasure to be somewhere with other dog owners (including the staff). We will continue to make Andrils our home-away-from home in the future!
Wow- What a gem of a place we found to stay. Our family of 4 had a
2bd/1 bth/kit/patio cottage. This place is in a great location -close to many ventures to do in Monterey/Big Sur. We were close to 17 mile drive/Asilomar Beach/Monterey Bay Aquarium. We also took a drive to McWay falls/Pfeiffer Big Sur State Park/Point Lobos.
Andril cottages had snacks and dvds in the lobby at all times of the day and a grass area for the family pet to run around and play. We snuck in a hot tub time after a long hike from Point Lobos. We were near a Safeway/Trader Joes and were able to cook some of our meals. I was able to relax in the patio and read a book, while listening to the birds chatting. Asilomar beach was just a few steps from the cottages. It was a bonus to see a deer along the path near our cottages. Carrie and Orion/pomeranian were very helpful during our stay. What a relaxing and enjoyable trip.
My wife and I stayed six nights at Andril Fireplace Cottages out of eleven nights of our California trip to attend a jazz concert and see relatives who live nearby. It was a wonderful experience. Our stay at Andril Fireplace Cottages met all my criteria of quietness, cleanliness (it was impeccably clean), privacy and safety.
We do not like to eat all meals at restaurants when we travel and stay in one area, so we very much appreciated having a kitchen available in our cottage. Having access to snacks at the office filled in some gaps between meals.
The staff was very helpful and professional.
Our bed was very comfortable as were the pillows. We slept very well.
The central location of Andril Fireplace Cottages made it very easy to visit with our relatives and for them to hang out with us at times in our cottage. It was like being at home. You really cannot do this in a hotel room.
In between sightseeing and visiting relatives, it was a big plus to take a quick ten minute walk to the Asilomar beach.
The cottages reminded me our friend's place on Upper Saranac Lake in New York but with a West Coast vibe. When we come back to that area of California, we will definitely stay at Andril Fireplace cottages and will recommend it to our friends and family. It was a very relaxing stay.

Another great stay! We've been staying at the Andril for almost 30 years now. The grounds are simply unbelievable, the staff (all family) are all so wonderfully nice and accommodating. They had replaced the old drip coffeemakers with new Keurigs, but they had a drip coffemaker in storage and had that already in the room when we arrived. The new keylocks are great - no more forgetting your key in the room. There are not enough words to describe how wonderful of a place this is - maybe heaven on earth? This really is the best place to stay in Pacific Grove!
