I came down to se my husband since he’s on base at the United States Marines in San Diego . My husband and I stood there for the night before I headed back to LA. We both loved it very much it’s really clean and very professional. The staff was very friendly Mr. Rudy is the best 🥹!! Thank you so much for greeting us and making us feel welcome after a long drive from LA. We need more Rudy’s like you to work in the company. 5’s⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I would not recommend staying at this hotel. I travel very often for work, and I generally love the Holiday Inn brand and booked this spot because it's Holiday Inn. This not in the same class as normal Holiday Inn hotels.

The rooms feel old and are in a state of disrepair and the "full service" restaurant is not great.

The biggest offense, however, was the service. I was checked in by Mari on the day of my arrival, and she was not particularly pleasant. On the day of checkout, I requested late checkout as I always receive at Holiday Inns as an IHG member. Mari was rude in denying my request, but worse lied to me. She advised that she could not give me even an hour late check-out (though I am always given until 2pm at other Holiday Inn locations) because the hotel was fully booked. Leaving aside that being fully booked should not necessarily impact a couple guests checking out late, I was able to confirm online that I could book again for the same night -- so the hotel was not fully booked. I returned to Mari and noted that the hotel was not full, and she lied again stating that the hotel had only room left. I checked again and I was able to book at least two different room layouts, confirming that minimally two rooms were left.

I've upgraded my review from a one-star to a two-star review because the manager was excellent in politely explaining the policy and apologizing for the tone of the employee.

It's corporate, but efficient, non-personable but clean.

I stopped here on a bicycle ride between Orange County and San Diego, and, being halfway, stayed in Oceanside for the night.

The location is good, right off the freeway, and near the harbor, and it safe, with families staying here on their way to/from wherever they are going and whatever they are doing.

For me, it offered what I needed, and likewise, for my bicycle, provided a clean, comfortable room to rest...
